About This Notification

The Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, launched on October 2, 2016, provides financial assistance up to Rs. 4 lakh as a loan for higher education to economically weaker students in Bihar. It aims to help students pursue various general, professional, and technical courses by covering tuition fees, living expenses, and study materials.

Scheme Benefits

Loan up to Rs. 4 lakh for higher education, 4% simple interest rate, 1% simple interest rate for women, disabled, and transgender applicants.

• Education: 12th Pass

• State / Region: Bihar

Who Can Apply

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar. The educational institution must be recognized by state or central government. Cannot apply for the same level of degree if already obtained. Must be 12th pass (10th pass for Polytechnic). Age not exceeding 25 years (30 years for Post Graduate courses).

How to Apply

Applicants must visit the official website (7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in) and register as a new applicant. After entering the OTP received on mobile/email, submit the registration form. Select the 'Student Credit Card' option and fill out the detailed application form. Upon submission, a unique ID will be provided. Applicants will receive a PDF copy of the application and required document details via email. Finally, visit the District Registration and Counseling Center (DRCC) on the specified date and time with all necessary documents for verification and loan disbursement.
